Pinehurst, Texas, while not an actual city, it is what is referred to as a “census-designated place” and is located in far southern Montgomery County with a population of over 4000 on over nine square miles of land. Though not yet considered a suburb, the proximity to Houston makes Pinehurst a location on the radar of home builders and homebuyers that enjoy the country life yet need to live near a major metropolitan area. Pinehurst, Texas homes and real estate will become more popular with home builders and developers as Houston continues to grow and expand.
Local attractions to Pinehurst are the towns of Tomball, Texas and Magnolia, Texas. The Aggie Expressway ends at Pinehurst and is a part of State Hwy 249. Subdivisions with the names of Stagecoach Farms, Timbergreen and Oakcrest make up a large portion of Pinehurst. Many of the homes in Pinehurst are single family homes and are on lots of greater than one acre. A small grocery store and gas station, Ken’s Bread and Butter, are the nearest major shopping. However, a few miles to the south of the community is the much larger city of Tomball with major grocery chains and additional shopping.
